We are one church family with three church buildings
The church building was begun in 1180 and the church was substantially complete by 1230. As well as services every Sunday, it is also a popular venue for Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals.
The graveyard is one of the largest in Yorkshire and contains over 1,000 graves.

The current building was begun in 1867. There is a service every Friday morning and on one Sunday a month. The rear part of the building has been converted in to a community space known as The Parish Centre @ St. John's.

The church was built in the year 1897 by William Myers-Beswick in memory of William’s son Brian who died of dyptheria in 1896. There are services here every Sunday .
