St. Oswald's Count On Nature

On the 8th of June 2024 we joined with about 2000 other churches in carrying out a nature survey and bug hunt in St. Oswalds Church Yard.  More information and the results of the survey are on the St. Oswald's page.

Christian Aid Week 2025

John Ives from Filey Parish organised the Christian Aid Week in conjunction with the others churches in Churches Together in Filey (CTiF).  Our grateful thanks go to him and to all who contributed in any way.

The amazing total raised was £943.43

The Parish of Filey are looking for an Assistant Administrator.

 

Could you be the person we are looking for…

The Assistant Administrator provides support to the Parish Administrator and to the churches in the Parish of Filey.

​

The role is part-time, 9 hours per week and is split over 3 days, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. 

​

You will assist in the day to day running of the parish office. Good clerical skills, an understanding of IT and the ability to work on line is needed.

 

We are looking for:

Someone who can maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times

An enthusiastic team player with good  communication skills.

Friendly, with a good telephone and in-person manner.

Highly organized, with excellent time management and planning skills.

 

Pay Scale          £12.21 per hour to be reviewed annually in January

Afternoon Tea

Filey Parish Church provides afternoon tea four times a year, for those people who would like company, at the Parish Centre behind St. John's Church.

St. Oswald's Church is now open every day - more information on the St. Oswald's page.

However, we are dependent on volunteers  opening St. Oswald's, therefore, please be aware there may be days when we are unable to open.
