Filey Parish is an enthusiastic Church of England family that offers a variety of worship styles from traditional to very informal.
You will find a warm and friendly welcome at all of our churches
as we gather to worship God in fellowship with each other.
We welcome all people
with love, respect and equality.
Lockdown

Due to the current lockdown in England services at all three churches - St. Oswald's Church in Filey, St. John's Church in Filey and St. Thomas' Church in Gristhorpe are postponed until further notice. The full statement can be read by downloading the pdf file.

If you are not able to visit a church in person, then you may be interested to know that the Church of England are providing weekly services online.

The Daily Hope phone line enables anyone who doesn't have access to the internet to listen to music, prayers and reflections as well as full worship services from the Church of England at the end of a telephone line. Please tell anyone who may benefit of this FREE telephone number.
A video reflection for Sunday 17th January 2021 is now available on our YouTube channel, or it can be played here by clicking on the image.
Christingle Service

January 31 would have been our Candlemas service at St Oswald’s celebrating with a Christingle Service and guest interview with Helen Whitely, Relationship Manager for Yorkshire and the North East.

However, all that is now being pushed on-line as we are not able to come together. The service will be short but also available on our YouTube channel, which you will be able to watch at any time to suit you. We will also provide a service sheet for home use and if you would like a ‘Christingle in a Christingle bag’ delivering, please would you contact the office by Friday 23rd January and leave us your name and address.
As a Parish we support various groups. One of these is 'The Chocolate Box' a Church Army Project working with vulnerable women in the North of England. The most recent newsletter from Debs Battersby is now available to download by clicking on the image of the newsletter.
